Market Trends of Dubai This Past Week:

Dubai Land Department Fines 256 Real Estate Brokers for Advertising Violations

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has fined 256 real estate brokers for violating advertising regulations in the past six months. This is part of DLD's effort to regulate the sector and ensure market stability.

Ali Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Real Estate Control Department at RERA, highlighted that these operations enhance market transparency and protect investors' rights. In the first half of 2024, the department conducted 450 field tours and inspected 1,530 advertisements, issuing over 1,200 legal warnings.

Violations mainly involved non-compliance with advertising terms, especially QR codes. DLD is focusing on ensuring these codes meet specifications and contain accurate information. The DLD also plans to adopt AI for ad monitoring soon.

Al Ali urged brokers to comply with DLD’s directives and advised the public to engage only with approved property advertisements.
